Nurse Practitioner
Victoria (Tory) Tyra, MS, RN, FNP-C, is committed to providing care that is individualized to each patient's needs with emphasis on holistic care, patient education, disease prevention, and health restoration.
Born is North Little Rock, Arkansas, Tory has been
a Dallas area resident since the age of 13. Graduating
in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Texas
Woman's University, she worked for 16 years in Emergency
Nursing, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Dialysis, Home
Care, Nursing Education and Administration. She returned
to school earning her Master's Degree as a Family Nurse
Practitioner, and a post graduate certificate in Nursing
Education from Texas Woman's University in 2008.
She
is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Texas Woman’s
University, preparing Nurse Practitioner students for
entry into clinical practice. Her clinical experience
encompasses Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's
Health, and Family Practice.
Tory is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, North Texas Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau: The International Honor Society of Nursing.
Tory's volunteer efforts have included Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, Civil Air Patrol, JROTC, American Heart Association and American Red Cross. She has four grown children and is currently a resident of Richardson.
